Opening Program

In the south of Tunisia, two football fan brothers bump into a donkey lost in the middle of the desert on the border to Algeria. Strangely, the animal is wearing headphones and is carrying bags full of a white powder on its back. The brothers decide to bring the bags back to their village.

Yves Piat

Yves Piat is a French director and screenwriter. His first film, Tempus Fugit (2001), was screened at festivals around the world. Nefta Football Club (2019) is his third short film. Shot in Tunisia, the film won a series of audience awards, including at Clermont-Ferrand and at the Florida Film Festival, and won Best Comedy at Aspen Shortsfest.
