Björn Rühmann
German-born director Björn Rühmann is known for his unforgettable characters and wholly unique story-worlds. He started his career as a creative in the advertising industry in Germany and later worked at TBWA Paris. He is the co-founder of the collective The Vikings. His short film Power of Wind (2008), made for Epuron to promote wind energy, won a Cannes Gold Lion and also earned Honorable Mention in Short Filmmaking at the Sundance Film Festival. Beyond his commercial work, Rühmann has written and directed a number of narrative short films and music videos, including the iconic trilogy Florian for German musician Paul Kalkbrenner.
