Gabriel Abrantes
Gabriel Abrantes is a Lisbon-based visual artist and filmmaker. Diamantino (co-directed with Daniel Schmidt, 2018) won the Grand Prize at the Critics’ Week in Cannes, and his horror film Amelia’s Children (2024) won the Jury Prize at the Gérardmer festival of fantastic and horror films. His films have also won prizes at the Berlinale and the Locarno Film Festival.
