During the Rio Carnival, a street cleaner struggles with the loss of his sister and his work obligations. Amid the celebrations, he finds a lost child and sets out to help him.

Leonardo Martineli
Leonardo Martinelli lives in the Rio de Janeiro’s Zona Norte. He holds a master’s degree in communications. His short film Fantasma Neon won a 2021 Golden Leopard for short film at the Locarno Film Festival. It was also a finalist for the Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro and was chosen as the Best Brazilian Short Film of the year by ABRACCINE. Fantasma Neon also screened at Pragueshorts 2021. A screening of his entire filmography was featured at the 63rd Cartagena Film Festival, making him the youngest filmmaker in the event’s history to receive this recognition. He is currently developing his first feature film, which has been selected for the Locarno Residency and the Hubert Bals Fund.
